AN emergency shelter
that provides assistance
to victims of domestic violence, featuring furnished, apartment-style
living and individual case management.
|
Mission Statement
To assist victims of domestic violence and their children in order to
achieve stable independence and freedom from an abusive relationship.
|
|
W.I.N.G.S. is
a program designed to assist victims of domestic violence. It
provides emergency shelter for women and their children as they advance
towards independence. By providing apartment accommodations,
W.I.N.G.S. seeks to create a secure, friendly and nurturing environment
in which residents are encouraged to draw upon each other and staff for
support.
|
| W.I.N.G.S. offers
support services designed to assist victims of domestic violence to
reach wholeness and live quality lives. The children of these
victims receive special attention to cope and adjust to life after the
traumatic experience of living in a violent home situation.
Assistance will be provided in the areas of job stability, financial
management, and use of community resources. The overall goals are
to enhance dignity and self-esteem and to achieve stable independence
