A state licensed child care center that provides
affordable, developmentally- based child care for children 3 to 6 years
old, whose parents are either working, going to school or in job
training. The families must be homeless, in transitional housing
or at-risk.

Mission Statement
Luise's Love provides quality, developmentally-based child care for
children of at-risk families. Luise's Love is committed to
supporting each family structure and helping provide additional services
as needed.

| Luise's Love is
a program for 3- to 6-year-old children whose parents are either
working, in job training, or attending school. This includes
families living in shelters and transitional housing units as well as
those who are receiving public assistance.
The center is state licensed and serves two meals and three snacks
daily. The curriculum focuses on fine motor language, gross motor
skills, music, and developing age appropriate social skills.
The goal is to address the special needs of this population through a
comprehensive program. The families receive affordable,
educational, full-time child care as well as social services to help
them in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Program
Services Include:

Degreed teachers and social service staff

Language, fine motor skills, large motor skills, and
social emotional growth

W.I.C. (Women Infants & Children) program site
-
On site medical services provided by the Homeless
Initiative Team of People's Health Center

Educational materials, furnishings, equipment, and
toys provided

Four classrooms with individual cots, blankets, and
cubicles for personal belongings
-
Fully staffed kitchen
-
Two warm meals and three snacks daily

Admission Requirements
-
Families must be living in homeless shelters,
transitional housing, or be at risk of losing permanent housing
-
Parents must participate in schooling, employment
training program, or be employed full or part time
-
Children must be between the ages of three and six
years old

Each child must have received a recent physical as
well as a tuberculosis test
-
Weekly fees are on a sliding scale basis

Love child care center is named in honor of the the late luise harris
foltz, wife of the late howard f. foltz sr. luise was known for
her warmth and genuine love of children.
