a
two-year transitional housing program that features case management and
access to limited free medical services.
|
Mission Statement
To provide a stable and affordable environment, while ensuring the entire
family has the opportunity to enhance their education, job, and life
skills as they transition from homelessness to permanent housing.
|
| Agnes' Inn Between is
a two-year transitional housing program that provides
affordable housing and case management services to homeless families
working towards the goal of self-sufficiency. The program is
designed to stabilize families, enhance interpersonal relations, and
help each family member deal with the various issues of
homelessness. The goal of case management is to connect family
members with community services and opportunities to become
self-sufficient and be able to purchase a home or move into a
conventional apartment.
With the assistance of staff, adult family members set goals and
formulate an action plan to accomplish their goals. Discussion
with family members are held on a regular basis to review progress and
problems. Bi-weekly community meetings provide peer support,
information, and education. Referrals are accepted from agencies
and shelters only.
|
| The Agnes' Inn
Between program is geared toward the family regaining
independence and returning to the mainstream of society with
confidence. While in the program, the family not only works on
individual goals, but also learns what it is to work as a team by
planning community activities and providing information and peer support
to one another. Planting flowers on the property along with a
community garden brings the families together on common ground.

Volunteers and Donations
Agnes' Inn
Between welcomes volunteers for various programs and
events. Volunteers add a special dimension to the program as
tutors during homework times, chaperones for trips, and as guest
speakers.
Groups are welcome to organize parties and help celebrate special
days or events.
Donations of household items and furniture are especially
needed. Kitchen items, towels, blankets, and living room or
bedroom furniture greatly assist families as they begin to make a home.
